More Violence Ahead with One Year Anniversary of Abortion Ruling

For Immediate Release: June 20, 2023

Saturday, June 24 is the anniversary of the Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health ruling, the Supreme Court decision overturning federalized abortion. The decision and the unprecedented court security breach, leaking a full draft of that opinion initiated an Antifa recruitment and direct-action crime spree targeting Christian, pro-life entities like the firebombing of CompassCare’s medical office in Buffalo. The Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin from the National Terrorism Advisory System in late May warning of the increased likelihood of violence again.

Additionally, the U.S. 5th Circuit Court is expected to rule on a case that could upend the FDA’s illegal approval of the chemical abortion drug, Mifepristone—so dangerous it is dubbed the “chemical coat hanger” despite being touted as “safer than Tylenol.” Overruling the FDA’s approval would cut abortion in half instantly since over 50% of all abortions in the U.S. (400,000+) are done chemically. In light of recent violence against Christian pro-life groups inflamed by these two cases, the DHS Terrorism Advisory Bulletin reads, “…factors that could mobilize individuals to commit violence include… judicial decisions pertaining to sociopolitical issues. Likely targets of potential violence include…faith-based institutions….”

On the lead-up to both the Dobbs and chemical abortion cases, Rev. Jim Harden, CEO of pro-life medical network, CompassCare, warned the FBI of potential violence. The FBI did nothing proactive and CompassCare was subsequently attacked—both before the Dobbs decision with a brutal firebombing and again hours after oral arguments in the 5th Circuit chemical abortion case.

The vilification of pro-life groups by pro-abortion politicians, the criminal pattern of dereliction of duty and attacks on pro-lifers by federal law enforcement, and attempts to delegitimize and intimidate the courts since the leak of Dobbs is giving Rev. Harden pause: “Wherever one stands on abortion, every citizen ought to be concerned that abortion is being used as part of a larger strategy to undermine America’s Constitutional rule of law. Re-civilizing America will require a return to the belief that we are all made in the image of God and therefore equally valuable, without qualification. In fact, shedding the infinitely valuable blood of Jesus on the cross for the salvation of man from sin and death reveals that God views humanity as infinitely valuable…and so ought we.”

Help CompassCare expand to reach and serve even more women seriously considering abortion in NY and across the United States.
