Two-Years Since Brutal Buffalo Firebombing: Violence Against Pro-Lifers Shifts

For Immediate Release: June 5, 2024

Friday, June 7 marks the two-year anniversary when the pro-abortion Antifa front group, Jane’s Revenge, firebombed one of CompassCare’s pro-life medical offices in Buffalo. The firebombing caused a half-million dollars in damage, injuring two firefighters in an attempt to shut down CompassCare’s services. In this regard they failed totally, CompassCare rebuilding even bigger in a miraculous 52 days. The attack happened ahead of the then expected Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruling overturning Roe v. Wade.

Antifa and their government allies continued with over 500 attacks on peaceful, pro-life people and organizations, including imprisonment, ahead of another potentially explosive SCOTUS abortion ruling expected any day. This case relates to the legality of the FDA’s approval of the dangerous chemical abortion drug, Mifepristone, representing over 60% of all U.S. abortions. SCOTUS may tell the FDA to go back to the drawing board with drug safety analysis which carries the potential of cutting abortion in half overnight and sparking more violence against pro-life entities. The current and new attacks against pro-lifers are coming in the form of malicious violence against religious liberty (1st Amendment), and equal protection under the law (14th Amendment).

While the domestic terror attacks waxed, pro-abortion politicians and litigators picked up the activist baton. Attorneys General from abortion hub states, including California and New York, filed suit against pro-life pregnancy centers alleging fraud for simply educating and serving women seeking to reverse the effects of chemical abortion. The timing of the lawsuits is suspicious if not obvious political theatre.

In March, Biden’s FDA further deregulated chemical abortion to be dispensed at pharmacies anticipating the pending SCOTUS case. Pro-abortion Democrats including the Biden-Harris campaign are using abortion as their primary election issue, alleging that conservatives seek to rob women of their reproductive freedoms. A SCOTUS ruling forcing the FDA to follow their own protocols for determining safety, which they circumvented, could take the drug off the market, setting up the Biden campaign to use it as another example of “robbery of reproductive freedom” despite the reality that they are sacrificing women’s health on the altar of political power.

CompassCare is receiving attacks from weaponized legislation, to censorship, to activist litigation, to domestic violent extremism while both the U.S. Attorney General and the New York State Attorney General refuse to either investigate or indict for crimes against pro-life entities. Rather, they both appear to take up the cause of the pro-abortion extremists themselves to shut down public pro-life expression.

CompassCare CEO Rev. Jim Harden says, “I predicted pro-abortion Antifa would trade firebombs for lawyers, and so they have. I predict further that attacks will continue and will bleed over into other areas of public Christian expression like promotion of traditional marriage, healthy binary male/female gender roles, parental rights, and the free market.” Rev. Harden continued, “Bottomline, the firebombing of CompassCare and pro-life Christians is a shot across the bow of the Church, the family, the rule of law, and the global nation-state system. Western civilization is in a fight for its life. To think that pro-abortion Marxists will stop at outlawing pro-life expression is naïve. We ignore this to our peril.”
