CompassCare never provides or refers for abortion. This is communicated to every patient, including Courtney. Though she entered seeking an abortion, the warmth and professionalism of the CompassCare team caused her to stay. She learned that no matter what she chose upon leaving CompassCare, she needed an ultrasound to confirm she had a viable pregnancy.
Courtney shared her story with her nurse, explaining the abuse and the pressure for her to abort. All of CompassCare’s nurses are specially trained to handle complex situations like this, protecting the woman from harm.
