CompassCare has never and will never provide or refer for abortion. There is never a time when Abortion is morally acceptable. This belief is held by every staff member and volunteer at CompassCare and is shared with the tens of thousands of pro-life Christians who have supported this ministry since 1980.
It is precisely because of this biblical position that all life is sacred and must be protected without qualification that CompassCare is being censored by Google, sued by New York Attorney General Letitia James, facing down legislation weaponized against our anti-abortion hiring policies, firebombed by pro-abortion terrorists, doxed, debanked, and more.
What drives our belief? All people are inherently valuable by virtue of being created in the Image of God and are infinitely valuable by virtue of the shed blood of Christ,
Women get abortions because they feel stuck, trapped, and coerced. Through CompassCare, pro-life Christians erase the perceived need for abortion in a woman’s mind by transforming her fear into confidence.
Recently, Sen. Josh Hawley called on Congress to support his Safeguarding Women from Chemical Abortion Act, banning the dangerous chemical abortion drug, enabling women injured by it to sue the shadowy chemical abortion industry. Hawley’s bill parallels several policy points found in the 2022 Protect Women and Children from Abortion Plan, written by CompassCare CEO, Rev. Jim Harden, calling for federal action addressing chemical-abortion injury and fraud.
Applauding Hawley’s bill, Rev. Harden warns it does not go far enough, insisting Congress must close the loophole permitting the U.S. to dehumanize entire categories of human, disqualifying them from equal protection under the law, which balloons into legalized systemic injustices like slavery. The solution according to Rev. Harden? A Congressional Act to Define the word “person” in the Constitution as referring to all people, without qualification, from the moment of fertilization to natural death.”
Last week, following conversations with prominent pro-life leaders in the House and Senate, Rev. Harden delivered a proposal to define personhood, protecting women and babies from the evil of abortion entitled the “Personhood Clarification Act.” The following is an excerpt:
The passage of a Personhood Clarification Act will be the exclamation point of the United States’ commitment to ensuring Constitutional protections extend to all people.
Please pray as, together, we encourage Congress to take a bold stance on protecting all people equally, especially the weakest and most vulnerable among us, preborn boys and girls.
Thank you for your continued support of the most vulnerable through CompassCare.
In Christ,
The CompassCare Team
