California Requires Universities to Provide Chemical Abortion?

On October 11, 2019 California Governor signed a bill forcing all public college and university campuses to provide students with on-campus access to chemical abortion drugs. The FDA recommends restricted use of chemical abortion without direct medical supervision. The reason for the FDA’s hesitancy is published in a 2018 report of adverse effects. It details thousands of incidences of serious adverse effects to women; including hospitalizations, blood loss requiring blood transfusions, severe infections, ectopic pregnancies, and death.

Abortion has never been considered medical care according to traditional medical ethics because it neither heals nor maintains the health of the patient. The data is enough to demonstrate why chemical abortions are bad for women. Why then would any government feel compelled to force medical providers and educators to participate in abortion against their conscience and the good health of the student?
