Scripture says, “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.” Endurance? Why is that important? Jesus warned, as this age of mankind winds up, His followers will be hated by all, “but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved” (Mk. 13:13b).
So, as the fourth anniversary of the firebombing of CompassCare’s Buffalo medical office by pro-abortion domestic terrorists approaches, pro-life Christians carry on with clear-sighted joy. For the sake of the endurance of Christians in America, I wrote a book about lessons learned from the furnace of persecution we experienced these last many years, entitled Endure the Rising Christian Persecution. Full disclosure: Sadly, I have not always counted our various trials as joy.
The arson not only harmed two firefighters and remains unsolved, but it sparked a Marxist prairie fire with over 600 subsequent physical attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers, churches, and leaders. The attacks then shifted away from physical violence to pressure from other aspects of State and Federal government. A politicized federal law enforcement ignored the crimes against Christians while investigating the victims, yes, the victims. Blue State Legislation was passed to restrict pro-life activity in the public square. The DOJ and blue State Attorneys General like NY’s Letitia James weaponized their offices against Christian pro-lifers, haranguing us with frivolous lawsuits. They also conspired with Big Tech to censor pro-life pregnancy centers so women could not find us on the maps. Many were debanked, insurance carriers dropped us as clients, some of our homes were doxxed, experiencing death threats and more.
Endure the Rising Christian Persecution for the Greater Reward

These are the very reasons why President Trump signed Executive Order 14202 to “Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias in Government,” which I describe in Chapter 1 of the book. And now, a new documentary, premiering May 31, details how the U.S. Government engaged in deliberate attacks on Christian organizations like CompassCare and what is being done to combat it. The documentary is called By Dawn’s Early Light.
After the firebombing, I predicted more violence would come, and it did. Then I predicted that the attacks would shift away from violence to lawfare and character assassination. And they did. Then, when President Trump was elected, I predicted a reprieve to the persecution, not an end. And so it is. And now, because the legislature has failed to act, everything President Trump has done can be reversed with the stroke of a pen by a communist-leaning replacement. So, I predict that persecution will return with a vengeance within the next five years. This is not a comfortable thought, but is necessary if we are to fulfill Jesus’ command to “Be alert” (Mk. 13: 37).
But through the pro-life ministry of CompassCare, we can say with the Apostle Paul that while persecution has, is, and will continue happening “…the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God” (2 Cor. 4:15).
So far this year, in CompassCare’s national network, 1141 babies have been saved from abortion, and 253 women have submitted their lives to Christ.
“Therefore, we do not lose heart…. For momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comprehension, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen…” (2 Cor. 4:16a; 17-18). The babies and souls saved in and through your investment of time, prayer, and finances is the unseen weight of glory!
So, will President Trump’s Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias in Government extinguish the fire of politicization within Federal law enforcement? Will this new documentary help educate America about it? Maybe. But neither the task force, nor the movie, nor my book Endure the Rising Christian Persecution will have an impact on pro-abortion Antifa terrorists, atheistic Marxists politicians, transgender educators, activist judges, or gridlocked legislatures.
It is important for Christians to remember that attacks on CompassCare were not about abortion. We must look beyond the Marxist prairie fire to the initial spark. The hundreds of attacks on churches and pro-life pregnancy centers carry the fingerprints of international atheistic, Marxist Antifa that so commonly piggyback on left-wing causes (i.e., Black Lives Matter, environmentalism, transgenderism, anti-ICE protests, No Kings protests, and abortion). According to Mark Bray in his “Antifascist Handbook,” their activity is designed to destabilize and dismantle the global nation-state system to pave the way for a global communism. Sounds apocalyptic, right?
There may be some comfort in a reprieve during Trump’s Administration. But it will not last. There is a deep divide in America today. The divide is deeper ideologically and morally than during pre-Civil War days. Scripture warns that “evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Tim. 3:13). Jesus commands that we be on the alert. So, let’s get educated. Read Scripture. Pray for awareness among America’s citizens and a return to God. Pray for courage for our ministry leaders and for our political representatives to fear God rather than men. Pray that our nation would prioritize traditional marriage and family under God–yet over careerism. Pray that men would be unflinching, loyal protectors and providers for their wives and children, not just physically but morally. Pray that women would return to being faithful nurturers of children and managers of their homes.
A nation that destroys her own children before they even take their first breath through abortion cannot long survive the profound moral collapse that evil represents.
America will celebrate her 250th Anniversary in a month. You may ask why I continue talking about attacks on Christians in the public square. It is because if we’re not careful, we will lose our First Amendment Rights: freedom of religion, speech, association, and assembly? And if that happens, the Church’s lifesaving work through CompassCare and other Christian speech and activity will be criminalized.
