Picking up on these signals New York Governor Hochul held a press conference announcing a new state abortion tourism campaign, cementing “New York State as a safe harbor for those seeking abortion care.” Governor Hochul insisted during the campaign launch, “the rights of those seeking abortion services will always be protected here,” saying, “Lady Liberty is here to welcome you with open arms.” Governor Hochul appears to be using the power of her office and tax payer funds to actively promote abortion tourism.
