Who is to say abortion is right or wrong? But if as a society we have no higher reference point for knowing right or wrong than man’s reason or experience, which man’s version of morality has the authority to prevail over others?
Scripture teaches that God alone transcends all personal experience, all philosophy, and all government saying all humans are equally valuable without qualification or favoritism precisely because we bear His image. Pro-life belief submits to the moral authority of God’s revelation. A sinful world is one that replaces God’s authority with their own, leading to moral darkness and oppression of the weak and vulnerable like the abortion of preborn boys and girls. Belief that abortion is right is rooted in the shallow authority of man arbitrarily insisting that some people do not qualify as persons under the law.
