On June 13 Andrew Cuomo summarily eliminated religious exemptions for vaccine using propaganda to incite fear over a Measles outbreak. Christians believe all human life is made in the image of God and infinitely valuable. They also hold that each individual must maintain the right over their own person against the force of another. These beliefs cause many Christians to reject vaccines which use aborted fetal tissue in the manufacturing process. It is wrong to destroy an innocent human being and it is wrong to benefit from that murder.
The CDC states that 95% of all children are vaccinated. This is more than enough to maintain herd immunity to disease. If society already has herd immunity according to the data, why is New York interested in forcing a religious minority to violate their beliefs and their children’s bodies?
