Pro-life Christians can sacrificially love and serve others without fear because Jesus already rescued us from our greatest enemies, sin and death (Lk. 1:74). Now you and I are empowered to obey Jesus’ New Commandment, “… that you love one another, even as I have loved you….” (Jn. 13:34). Jesus died that we might live. Now, He commands us to walk in His steps.
From the Staten Island 9/11 First Responders Memorial the Manhattan skyline can be seen devastated by violence only 25 years ago. Recently I visited this memorial dedicated to those who died on that day so that others may live.
The memorial is a metaphor for the devastating violence of abortion perpetrated against women and children, made in the image of God and inherently valuable.
