The following is a statement from Rev. Jim Harden regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk:
For Immediate Release: September 10, 2025
Rochester, NY— It is with deep sadness—and righteous anger—that I learned of the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
To his wife and two young children, there are simply no words. Except these: He is a hero.
Pray for Charlie’s family as their lives are forever marred by this act of barbarism perpetrated against Ericka, their two children, and all lovers of civilized order.
I had the privilege of meeting Charlie on multiple occasions on his show. He said his team stood by CompassCare “100%” after the brutal domestic terrorist firebombing of the Buffalo pro-life medical office. A Marxist Antifa front group calling itself Jane’s Revenge took responsibility for the bombing injuring two firefighters.
We must be careful not to view this attack on Charlie as an isolated incident but rather another in a long line of violent domestic terror attacks actually promised by Marxist Antifa. In taking responsibility for the CompassCare firebombing Jane’s Revenge issued a communique saying, “We fight not just for abortion rights, but for trans liberation, ecological harmony, decolonization, the destruction of white supremacy and capitalism, and the uprooting of the entire global civilization. We will hunt you down and make your lives a living hell…. So far it’s just been pregnancy crisis centers, but tomorrow it might be your cars, your homes, or even your lives.”
Is it a mere coincidence that the moment Charlie was shot he was talking about transgender violence? Note that the Marxists themselves link the causes of abortion and transgenderism while calling for extreme violence starting with pregnancy centers and moving to cars (think Tesla), homes (think residence of PA Governor) and even our lives.
And these calls to domestic terror violence are not isolated to anonymous, cowardly Marxists but are heard in the very halls of U.S. Government. In fact, nearly three years ago to the day, Senator Mazie Hirano (D-HI) issued a literal call to arms regarding abortion on the Senate floor.
This is an act of domestic terror plain and simple per the definitions in used by the FBI and DHS and FBI Director Patel needs to say it. To the political left who instantly attempted to distance themselves from the act I say, it is time to repent. There are Americans and true Christians who consider themselves Democrats. All of your mascots from Newsom to Sanders, Harris, Schumer, Jeffries and more are blindly and callously repeating the same soulless, mantra, “political violence has no place in America…” Who is coordinating your instant talking point? This is not about gun violence but the violence your atheistic Marxist ideology is wreaking on America’s rule of law and civil order.
Charlie’s winsome ability to explain the truth of the Gospel, human dignity, and values necessary to conserve civilized order, were rivaled only by his wit and resolve. Only God knew the burden he bore in defense of his faith and our nation’s future. He was a stalwart defender of human dignity for the weakest and most vulnerable—the preborn boy and girl. From our vantage point, our nation was robbed today of a hero by a cowardly domestic terrorist.
We will surely miss Charlie. But to honor his legacy we would do well to carry on his courage in the face of evil for our God, our children, and the future of freedom.
