For Immediate Release: July 25, 2025
Brooklyn, NY— July 4, 2025 offered two historic moments: the 249th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and the signing of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB). The former laid the groundwork for a free people to exercise their inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The latter renewed a commitment to that end by suffocating organizations dedicated to undermining those rights and making a mockery of equal justice under the law.
Rev. Jim Harden, pro-life strategist and medical ethicist, said following in his NEWSMAX Column about the signing of the OBBB, “Treacherously, over many years, communist-leaning Democrat politicians, their bureaucratic appointees and DEI hiring policies, all but ensured the rank and file, work-a-day government employee secretly carried the water of a quiet Bolshevik revolution into everything government touches, including secularizing and sexualizing education, socializing medicine, censorship of communications, politization of federal law enforcement, suffocating corporate regulations, ballooning entitlement programs, etc.” He continued, “The OBBB is the first step toward draining that Marxist influence from everyday governance.”
Rev. Harden observes that the leftist agenda championed by Biden, his predecessor Obama, and others such as NY Gov. Hochul and CA Gov. Newsom, can be summarized as follows: “Make it easy for bad people to do bad things and harder, even illegal, for good people to do good things.”
By legalizing lawlessness, as has been the objective of the political Left, symptoms of societal crisis appear on the economic, moral, and physical fronts. Economically, one need not look further than the waste found by DOGE in their first few weeks. Morally, Rev. Harden notes the widespread LGBTQ propaganda used in public schools, human trafficking, and porn use as signs of a nation’s sick soul. Physically, with birth rates dropping below replacement in the US, as in many European countries and China, a time in which the United States status as a global power is lost is not boogeyman in the closet, but a mathematical certainty. Yet, as Rev. Harden notes, the Democrats actually campaign on issues that cause these ill effects—they appeal to “Vice Voters.”
Harden says, “The OBBB is a legislative sunrise dawning on the rule of law, melting the glacial encroachment of Marxism. And while government cannot make America moral again, there are a few things that can be done to make it harder for bad people to do bad things, the pebble of President Trump’s influence rippling indefinitely into the pond of America’s future.”
The OBBB requires more permanent legislative reinforcements ASAP. Rev. Harden outlines five critical next steps for the 119th Congress to take before a whiplash election cycle, beginning in just nine months, threatens GOP control of the House. Those steps are:
- “Safeguard America’s children and public from the morally devastating dissemination of pornography on the internet. Pass Sen. Mike Lee’s Internet Obscenity Definition Act.”
- “Unmuzzle America’s moral voice by passing the Free Speech Fairness Act, repealing the Johnson Amendment.” Restore moral freedom to pastors and Christian leaders, protecting them from IRS censorship and fines.
- “Protect the religious liberty and speech of peaceful pro-lifers from government persecution by passing Congressman Chip Roy’s FACE Act Repeal Act.” Remove barriers to peaceful pro-life expression, ending penalization of churches and individuals under current federal law.
- Recognize and affirm personhood from conception through natural death, ensuring constitutional protections apply universally with a Personhood Clarification Act.
- Emphasize medical care must uphold, not undermine, God-given dignity with a Human Dignity & Purpose of Medicine Act, banning procedures that facilitate abortion, euthanasia, assisted suicide, various gender-altering treatments, and unregulated embryo manipulation.
