Executive Order Protects Infant Abortion Survivors

Recent testimony by abortionists reveal that babies born alive during abortion procedures are either executed or left to die by withholding medical care. Similarly, other infants born prematurely or with disabilities have been denied care at hospitals despite the desperate pleading of their parents. Trump’s Executive Order on Protecting Vulnerable Newborn Children requires Health and Human Services (HHS) to investigate complaints of violations of federal laws like the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, a law which requires infants be provided medical treatment whose parents seek. Hospitals and others including abortionists who deny life-saving care to infants born alive face criminal penalties. In response to this order HHS Secretary Alex Azar said that the mission of HHS is “to protect the health and well-being of all Americans…including infants born prematurely and…with disabilities.”
